What I Needed

You poisoned my veins,
Made me feel the worst of pains.
You took my heart and soul,
You took over my being.
and with that I lost my control.
Made me look without seeing.
And now I have you here,
And what I want is very clear.
To say words I should've long ago.
You always had a way to know
That you were exactly what I needed
When I had silently pleaded.
You are the one who saved me from me,
Now I can finally rest in peace.
