Beside me, empty and dark
I hear and recall the spark
the moment of feeling we shared
and now I wish my heart had been spared
We meant so much more than one night
Our time spent together felt right
The days that we laughed I still treasure
all lost in one night of pure pleasure
If I had it to do over again
I'd not lose my heart, my best friend
for moments of time in my bed
when lust lost control in my head
Whatever may happen to you
where ever you go it's through
all because of a simple indiscretion
a moment of truth, taught me painful lessons.

the rhyme was good
and i don't claim that often
but i do believe this could have been better if you had not restricted yourself to rhyme from the beginning
