A baby in his manger

The swing went through and through,
dancing with the wind as it blew,
and I observed from my large bay window,
how the sun on the trees did glow,
and how the world seemed to whisper so many words in very few,
of so many things that we have known... of those we knew.
And so I thought of the day that man and nature were united,
and spirited enough to seek their eyes on the one beloved...
And it seemed that the water would flash its shyness at the sky,
reflecting itself with its companions to fool any naked eye,
and the trees cuddling with the wind and the lone swing,
covering their visitors in their branches and praising them as they sing.
The lone clouds up above swirled to greet the sun,
and then the others to say good bye and praise the moon for the sun's job was done.
And with every gust of wind and fragrance of evergreen pine,
spirits coddle the flowers coming up in many a line.
And the moon brought her gown of stars as well,
her white face as beautiful as that of an Angel,
gesturing towards her north star with the wind as the guide,
to show the creatures of the earth on to the barn where something did hide...
And three wise men did ride upon miles and through restful days,
to seek the star that small lambs and a Shepard followed in same ways,
to find the union of all things different through only one being,
to finally find the little baby in the manger that would be their King.

Author notes

I started this as a form to help my little sister with her imagery poem (which she did very well on her own), and it evolved from that to a poem about everyone trying to find baby Jesus in his manger...!

Hopefully I'll add another part to this (but It's Christmas' month, so I'd like to know how it sounds...) - anyway, good, bad, awful? Give me your critique *blocks face* I'm ready for anything, I swear!
