We are now Free...

I watch the tiny coffin make its way up the daunting aisle,
carried in the arms of her grieving father...
I'm standing there watching myself,  in morbid wonder.
You don't fall down on collapsing knees,
you just stand there, strong for all to see,
Just one single tear traces your cheek,
you wipe it away with your fingers fanned
and get up to read, no-one holding your hand.
Barely a glance at the sad white coffin
barely a whisper, a sigh of longing.

You cant show them your pain and loss
You cant fall now, your soul lost..
I feel it...
My mind reels with pain
kept locked up inside, these tears,  like falling rain

You read aloud , I listen to you,
everybody cries , except you
you walk back and take your seat,
the music cues the end, our mother weeps.

We are now free fills the chapel hall,
suddenly you get up, and run for the door
the air greats you in a rush of breathless ice,

you fall down, you finally cry....
