I’d dream red. If I could paint the walls with vibrant
redemption of a past wrong – wrong on all accounts.
But I can’t. I can linger on doubt, tab through disgust,
and I can always analyze while finding time for self-pity.
I’d rather dream blue. A reminder of the drowning
stage of birth that I regret passing so easily. Who would
fail to see the merit in almost dying at birth?
Such a lesson lost to the youth in us all.
But it all builds up inside as you ponder the mistakes.
The mistakes you made once, and again, and once again
as you pile on the unhandy youth with the unwieldy bludgeon of
so called experience. It pours red in anger as well.

My favorite is "I can linger on doubt, tab through disgust, and I can always analyze while finding time for self-pity." To me, it shows that we all have a choice in life, we all have decisions to make that will change how we see things. It very accurately discribes our influences on our own lives. Very nice!
