What Happens When...?

What happens when fear takes over and change never comes?
What happens when love isn’t enough and pain has become too much?

You change your style; your smile begins to fade
Your laughs becomes more distant, and your tears began to stain

You change the way you act, even your outlook seems to change,
You slowly start to feel things will never be the same

You smile at the thought of her
Cry at the glimpse of him

Shower yourself with gifts
In an attempt to forget your sins

That time you kissed that girl
Or did that “thing” with that guy

The time your rep was ruined
And your soul began to cry

What happens when change HAS come and along with it, brought pain?

You stop at every crevice
Step over every creak

As tears disappear from
Your hurt filled
And pain driven
Cheeks

Your laughs seem to last longer
Your soul no longer cries

Until that one day, that very guy
Seems to poke and pry
At the very thing you told him hurts

He laughs and grins mischievously at first.
(You found that smile so attractive)

Love at first sight.
Only to find that look in his eyes was
Going to cause a fight.
Missing dates, showing up late
Your soul in constant turmoil.

What to do now? Cry, Scream, Run!?
Your feet seem stuck, your voice is softened

You seem to have lost yourself in him, in it.
In what you thought was an us, turned into a him.

Get yourself together
Get a YOU back.

It’s okay to loose yourself in love
As long as you can get YOU back!

    Wow

This is a very good write no joke I believed it flowed very well there were somethings that distracted my attention such as on lets see after the line pain driven the capitalization of the word 'cheeks' didn't seem to fit but other than that I believe that it was almost flawless!
