Insaniam Inveni

Missing image
The dancing winds of mind pity me,
for insanity is my forever.
There is no right path; sensibility is in acquiescence.
I am ever in excited eternity,
with a frolic of frenzied waltz that jives in
jaded ballrooms of joyful madness.

The sane cannot know the panic pleasure of hysterical imaginations,
demented repetitions of deranged disasters,
which bite crazily into imbecile breasts of confused mother-cuddles.

I make friends with perverted Mephistopheles,
who creeps into my destiny,
deadly in his oozing torment.

This shell-shocked world is hollow with nature’s cries,
her weeping willows droop in desolation on frantic fields,
while dance floors spin with worthless wishes
on empty thoughts, lost in lunacy lands of no love.
Truth is an enigma.

My brain weeps with lies of life,
insane sins amid neurotic laughter,
for I am a lover of mania,
my soul vanquished;
heaven is my hell,
hell is my heaven.

Veritatem quaere
et insanium inveni.

As I read this I noticed over and over again how you referenced dancing,

'The dancing winds of mind pity me,'
'with a frolic of frenzied waltz'
    and my favorite,
'while dance floors spin with worthless wishes'

It is amazing how you mixed the dance floor with madness. When I see a dance, I see people crowded together, all moving different directions, and it would appear like madness.

This write made me interested till the very end, and left me wanting more. It is incredible how powerful free writes can be if you allow yourself to soak them up.

    Well done

Thank you for the comment Rareflower.

It took me ages to write to tie the dance with the madness and then to add the search for sanity in truth. I am glad you liked the poem.
