Lonely at night because your not here
I alone work, so it still isn't so clear
but I'll listen to you, if only to hear
you forgot, you were just having beer
I did the dishes, and the laundry too
clean the house, what else to do
bought groceries see what is new
now I wonder, what DO you do?
In my lost sorrow I did not find
the love we once had, it's just mine
what ever you do, will be so fine
I'll hold on the other phone line.
Today I met a lady so pretty and nice
ask me for coffee, I didn't think twice
sweet words poured out like spice
not like someone who's words are ice
Guess you just might be home by now
I'm not there, so your having a cow
no more will I stoop low and bow
I'm ready to throw in the towel
She meets me with a smile on her face
acts so charming and full of grace
her blouse is made of sheer fine lace
no bad words to put me in my place
A simple caress, well maybe two
all this love, what should I do
all dressed up in a delicate hue
should I drop her come back to you?
NO

laughed at the author notes. I haven't heard the word harpy in a long time. This is a good example of how these things can come about. thank you for your entry

Smiles and lace... could drive any man to look outside of marriage for thrills lacking in a boring marriage. O good write of wxcellent imagery and thought.
return the favor?

Thank You
It could but it didn't for me
I just threw in the towel -
I do have my honor to live with
oh - by the way - the 'other woman'
was as bad being #2 wife as #1
she just did it different - lol
