this luminous bird was brought
Unto this earth from deeds of good,
summoned by pure thoughts
To gently guide the wandering soul,
through troubled times of woe
Soothing the aches of heart and mind,
a pathway he does show
Being wise beyond the ages,
with mystic powers; he can heal
From a single tear; a fatal wounds,
blood may be congealed
To live as long as eight hundred years,
then flame into an ash
Then rise again from that same nest,
at the cooling of the flash

They are invincible in battle,
when wounded they would burn
And in a blaze this celestial bird,
would make triumphant; his return
Divinity often surrounded them,
in their cherished gift of song
Bathing in the purest waters,
gave them power and made them strong
For millennia they have been sought,
for their beauty and insight
To befriend this sacred bird,
would bring knowledge and a guiding light
