There’s a last
And a first
You’re…..both.
Light,
Matter,
And darkness
Make up the universe.
Distance is the darkness
Love is our light
And that’s
What matters.
There is a
Vast void
That separates,
An invisible
Veil
That makes you
Invisible,
But not…..
Unknowable,
Untouchable.
There was a scent of pine,
Warm breath upon my chest,
Many dreams;
Along with a few
Unexplainable things -
One being the vision
In the library
Who wouldn’t look
Up from his book
That I couldn’t see,
And how the librarian
Couldn’t see the man
That was
In the room with me.
When it is time for my last,
And I find myself
On the other side
Of that invisible veil
It’s you, from the first
I’ll see,
Arms already around me.
Please tell me what you think

It's the last stanza.
When it is time for my last,
And I find myself
On the other side
Of that invisible veil
It’s you, from the first
I’ll see,
Arms already around me.

Mind if I ask why this piece in particular struck you so strongly?
Thanks for saying so - shows your strength and courage, no matter what else you might think.

So many mysteries and the bridge is faith and belief, the real sense of knowing something, survives doubt and the worldly conventions to become the things that guide us...very expressive words and ideas here, affirming and uplifting...PK

I like this, it focuses on the big picture, as well as the "here and now". This was easy to read and equally enjoyable to read, with a great rhythm.
