Random Thoughts on Freedom

New Possibilities, impress, egress, infinity,

sex sells, stimulus, dissent, protest . . .

Random thoughts passing through my mind

seem to be powerful ephemera.  Shall I rip off,

scam or flim-flam my karma?

Fantastic onus or devil’s eye, what’s the fracas?

What’s the big deal -- confusion, consternation, or

coping with life?

I think I’m over doing it.  Life is hard, sure.  But,

it can be interesting and even fun sometimes.

I resolve to clean up my mental act and consider

new possibilities.

That’s freedom!

Author notes

My inspiration for this poem on Freedom was from totally random thoughts!

The photo of the Bobcat staring out at us is from Wikipedia, I think!

Amen! Indeed, freedom is the irrepressible choice to grow or stagnate. As you say, life is tough but without those tough moments, how would we recognize the good times? Very well written!

I like the randon thoughts. I do think that sometimes freedom leads to the dungeons we create.
