My Juliet... II

I didn't see it coming.

She could have been anyone...
But when I saw her, I knew she was mine.

The red rose of this past love has faded:
It's petals like paper, it's leaves like dust,
Crumbling to ashes in my heart.

The moon rose and set,
Replaced by a love that shone through my closed eyelids
And blinded me.

She was everything, and I...
I was nothing, nothing to her.
She had nothing to hide.
We were so different.

This knife trembles in my hand
As I take my last look at my

Sweet,

Fair,

Lost Juliet...

This is a really good poem Lilli! I think at the beginning and middle the lines could have been broken up a little bit more, but other than that, the words are really beautiful and poetic and it was a good write!
