She rests beside the soothing creek,
and all of nature sees
The light of moon does search her out,
in between the trees
The gecko crawls to wish her well,
as she receives new particles of life
Bestowed for all the work she does,
relieving others strife
For here; lies the forest nymph,
in charge of all that thrives
The plants, the animals, the crystal waters,
and everything alive
Merrily she goes about,
checking on all that is in need
Giving sun to the dying lily pad,
or watering the weeds
Her mighty friend the unicorn,
has also gone to rest
For tomorrow they both will journey far,
life saving in their quest
For in the darkest forest,
a life does cry from horrible pain
Suffering an arrow wound,
by a careless human; once again
Their trek will take them far from home,
with danger all around
But to save one in their care,
they feel they’re duty bound
If in their travels peril comes,
and death they finally meet
Together they shall overcome,
evil they will defeat
So rest my lovely, build your strength,
a life does count on you
For love shines in your heart and eyes,
and in everything you do
