The eyes take in a wonder
Is it love or is it me?
Soaking all the beauty up
Translated into love
Her heart pounds and she hears it
Love is from the heart
And so she gives it away again and again
To be shattered to pieces by love's cruel hate
By the lust she misunderstood
He cares but he doesn't
And she loves him but she can't
Soaking in the neediness
Translated into love
His body calls and he hears it
Love is all around
And so he takes her again and again
To finally be broken by lust's cruel power
By emotion he cannot understand
They feel but they don't
It's love but it isn't
Soaking in the rain of desire
Translated into love
Their spirits call and they ignore the voice
Love is of this world
And round goes the circle again and again
Always encouraged by an ache in the groin
By a power so misunderstood
And love, it seems, has got the last laugh
Author notes
I don't usually do freestyle. But sometimes it proves rather enjoyable. Good subject matter for the style.
