Saving Yesterday

Though yesterday may be a blur,
It's a sight for sore eyes.
To return to it's loving warmth,
No sorrow, no maddness, no lies.
We look at the path of tomorrow,
And the one that we are on today,
How much I would give,
To just stand up,and gaily walk away.
We save a piece of yesterday,
In a pocket of our heart,
Though we may forget it,
We'll never be apart.
The questions that are answered now,
The worries that are gone.
The "what-ifs" we were wondering
Have slowly carried on.
Yet, we all save a bit of yesterday,
To look back at and smile,
Of the days we had no worries,
At least for a little while.
So, when you are a little lost,
A little sad and blue,
Take out a bit of yesterday,
And say:
"Man, I'm glad I saved you!"

Can you relate to this poem? Don't you always want to go back to yesterday when nothing was wrong?

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
