Waiting by the phone to hear of good news.
Waiting for answers to questions so long ago asked.
Waiting to hear her voice.
Sitting here waiting just for a few simple words.
Waiting for a yes or no.
Waiting for an I love you.
An insanity that is endured for a love that is pure beyond measure.
A madness that could possibly sicken any person!...and still, sitting, waiting to hear her answer.

I've had that madness before...it's intense but not fun...it becomes an obsession almost. Even when I know it's stupid, there I am, hoping against hope.
