Emasculated At Least

Emasculated At Least

Politically neutered and torn.
Policies rendered unborn.
Silently cornered to mourn.
This vote.
Fiscally balanced to none.
Sentenced to absence of fun.
Living under the gun.
This vote.
Radically altered; unknown.

Sanity chopped to the bone.

Surely I can't be alone.

This vote.

This vote isn't what I hoped.

This life, it's a wonder I coped.

Perhaps I'd be better off doped.

This vote.

Give me a leader to trust.

Give me a field not dust.

Give me my old happy thrust.

This vote.

    Yeah.

I could hardly believe that Harper got in again. Of course, the only way he could hang on was the proroguation of the government, but once he's back we'll oust him. Friggin' Reform Party politics.

    Terrific Job!!!

larry, I believe many of us has felt powerless as a people, as a government for a really long time and ya the condition of our country because of mis-management is enough to drive any one to drink themselves to a state of stupor.
I really can relate to the feelings your poem conveys
