Beyond you there is only me.
This is my declaration of intent.
You’ve forgotten me so I’ll do the same.
Yet I’m taking another step,
A step I’ve never believed in before
But I see it as my only choice.
I’m no longer looking for love
I’ll let it find me.
If it never does,
I guess I’ll die alone.
But that no longer bothers me as much as it once did.
I choose to live my life not focusing on love.
I’ll focus on friends, music and me.
It will be hard.
But it needs to be done
To save my sanity.
So I cast one last look back
Only to see the desolate road I’ve traveled so far.
It’s time to change paths,
And go a better way.
