He Shares the Sky

Missing image

Today,
the sky boiled blood
and I found life
in a puddle of sin
looking at me
reflecting
that I too,
was the evil
that runs the earth dry.

Here was time
corresponding with thoughts
catching and fighting
while the outside seemed sincere

I malfunctioned
drooling for repentance
soon the storm would swallow
every last drop of air;

 and you too

  would suffocate.

So simple to say
farewell to the heart,
but if you sought
what was inside me,
burning like the Summer
you would melt
and never turn away,
       but leaves change

and the flame inside
has just caused forest fires

   that you seek out.

Beauty,
the name of graves
we've died many a time
that only you and I
know its' secrets
locked between the carcass
 of deception and love:

   we inherit their words.

Would you sing

if I begged,

if I told you that,

that is why the sky

has flushed

and turned the deepest hues

        of sunset,

for I love you

and push my body

to the ground

waiting for your thunder,

        as one.

Oh oh ohhhhhhhhhhh boy. Now this was something. What a kick ass take on prompt. Notice how I never use that when I'm commenting on poems But my Lunatic, this is amazing. The metaphors were brilliant. How'd you think so deep? How!?!? That's why I tell you to teach me. But you don't. Loved this, keep it flowing chicken. I'm sure I'm going to read many many more from you soon, now that you've fallen in love.
