My words float towards you,
In dreams set upon rafted clouds
of turbulent air,
The sun is pinned high above the waves
lost upon the waiting shores,
Like a golden butterfly
cast upon the shining day,
Its heat, heals me,
Yet, still
I am small,
almost submerged
on this side
of a silent world,
One day,
I will break free
from these amorphous roots
and learn to swim
towards you
and leave these
drowning shadows
far behind me,
Till then
I must wait here
on these shores,
Where dreams are born
in my souls silent pools,
and new waters
are still to wide
for me to cross,
But one day.... One day.......
