Shine beautifully through the thick glass
Illuminating the room
With a warm glow.
A single flower sways by the window
The purple coat pulled closely
Around the precious pollen
Ready for the honey bees to come.
A lone dove perched
As white as the purest of snow
On the window ledge
Waiting for her lover to fly to her.
On the other side of town
Sat the other dove impatiently
Waiting for the window to open
So he could fly to his love.
For since he entered this window
He received tender nursing care
But he was banished from the outside world
No need for him to fly
But today he was determined
To make it outside once more
To fly as fast as he could
To make it to his mate.
So, when the clock struck noon,
And the window opened slightly
The dove stole the opportunity
And raced to greet his love.
When she saw her precious lover
Flying towards her at high speeds
She cooed excitedly, happily,
And waiting giddily for him to arrive.
When they were together again
Their embrace was tight and warm
Warmer than the rays of the sun
Strong in the power of love.
Gazing from my window
Watching the beautiful theme
I finally, for once, say to myself
"I'm going to make it through this time."
Author notes
This poem I created because on the 7th of January, I'm going in for a heart and Lung operation that is highly life threatening. I continulessly wake up screaming in the night, fearing my death. Now, I just thought that will all my friends so confident in me and always staying positive, I am Determined that I will get through this. Thanks very very much to Tabion, Kagome (Kagome27), Germaine Furbien, Linikan, and everyone else who has offered me their positivity (Is that a word?) though all this
What do you think?
