Another Me

Into her
eyes I see
her soul...
The makeup
of her being
dressed in
her uniqueness.

Yet so much
me.

You have really said a lot in so few words. the images you paint here are very soft, and endearing. I had a mirror image like this once, but she is gone to heaven now and maybe one day I will see this reflection again. I am the mirror image of my mother, and yes I can apply this poem to be about her, and me. Thank you Shelly for sharing this wonderful poem.

    Love & hugs,
    Barbara

"...so much me" Reminds me of a parent and child, but also of someone who feels that closeness for someone they love, that who they are is in someway inseparable.

It only takes having one thing in common to get that feeling I think.

The mirror reveals its wonders to be behold. You catch the sense of strangeness. I feel but thirty and there is this white haired man staring back. Who'd a guessed.

I loved to hear such a powerful description. A wonder to behold.

    Love, Tom B.

This is a very strong write about self, without pulling any punches you show yourself, it is not easy to do that with so few a words. C

This could be me speaking of my daughter or myself. We reflect each other like twins.

Splendid! You carried the prompt right to the brink! I wish you well in the challenge.

    Much Love & Respect ♥

I love this. Is it about your daughter? That's how it strikes me. Good luck.
