Butterfly kisses flow
freely in the air;
black and white they reach
our cheeks.
We're wrapped up in a rainbow
of colours and tied together with
the string of a kite,
flying high into the clouds;
the sparkling diamond in the sun.
We compare ourselves to
dragonflies;
Not as pretty as the butterfly
but much more the curious.
We're not perfect by any means,
but it always ends up fine
and we can sit in our green leaf tree;
waiting for our butterfly kisses to
reach our cheeks.
