Lovers' Promise.

The scent of your essence
makes me heady for the spice,
dwelling beneath
enigmatic eyelids.

Oh to delve into
unknown flavours,
discovering secrets,
where fertility reigns
and pollination begs.

Caressing the vine
anther and stigma combine,
fruit flowing willingly
as fragrance eminates
from your revealing flower.

Humid nights
and sultry breezes
frame the intensity
of this heavy bouquet.

Drawn into an Aztec world
of mystery and magic,
this passion ensures
conqueror and conquered
shall forever fly
in immortality.

I have always found the sense of smell to be the more erotic and arousing of all the senses. The first two lines of each of the first three verses were I consider, brilliant.
It is the subtle suggestions and innuendo that have the greatest effect on me and oh boy!! did this poem effect me.
