So sweet and innocent was she,
always at her best
But there was a darker side,
there at her behest
The daylight saw her maiden fair,
a princess to a king
Dark of night would change her heart,
a wretched, wicked thing
To prance along the market walk,
so carefree and so pure
Then to stroll the dusky streets,
for men she was to lure
Dressed in white, with the fairest skin,
suitors’ she had many
But the brothel is where she did her work,
some men called her plenty
The king would walk her this fine day,
the men would bow to kiss
And there stood last night’s drunken scourge,
he would reminisce
Said to the king your maiden fair,
last night I kissed her lust
Imprisoned now the both of them,
for the kings disgust
To wilt away her better half,
the crude dark side does taunt
Of the days when you were beautiful,
your smile you’d always flaunt
But we live by my rules now,
you’ll do as you are told
Forever living in the dark,
until all wrinkled and old

Masterful
A stunning visual and immaculate piece of poetry. "The daylight saw her maiden fair,
a princess to a king
Dark of night would change her heart,
a wretched, wicked thing" That captures the truth in the picture... and turns it out for all to see. Keep up the good work.
