My Sunshine

my sun-
shine
leaving me for wanting
(waiting)
as I taste your sweetness,
beckoning me,
freely,
come to me, my forbidden girl,

I sit here
shivering,
peacefully,
dreamily,
wistfully, praying you will rescue me
some fine day
(please
  be today)

your armor is beginning to rust
and I need this trust
that will leave me here
in your sweet perfection,
blissfully unaware of infection
of the tainted world that judges us

let our wounds free us,
bleed us dry and occupy
that lonely corner in your mind
that cannot be satisfied
by unruly thoughts
and hapless words,
meaningless rituals
that leave you stagnant

leave me be
drip your poison from these veins
          inhale slowly
and find your (our) final peace

Wow. I love this. An amazing take on the prompt, I love the darkness and the hints of love and death twisted into this.
    Well penned,

This is not "traditional" that's for sure. It rings contemporary and weaved with just the right stands of thread. This is a stellar work. Your thoughts that seem to slip in, and out of remembrance, almost like the drowsiness before slumber.

    Excellent!

I wish you well in the challenge.

Long time no talk to. I hope all is well in your world.

Much Love & Many Blessings ♥
