Scream of the butterfly

So perfect in her beauty
so lucious in her rage
her innocence is tainted
Her mind will never age

She doesnt know her wrong
She cannot know whats right
and when it comes to life

she plucks it out of sight

Her face so porcelain white
Her mouth agape with fear
When she reaped destruction
she couldnt shed a tear

To her knees she fell
mositened hands of red
screeching out she cries
reaching for his head

Author notes

“She smiles like a child with flowers in her hair
With blood on her hands
Into the sun she stares
She feels it die
I heard her cry….
Like the scream of the butterfly” – “Scream of the Butterfly” – Acid Bath

I really like the rhyming in this piece, it gives the piece a lyrical quality all of it's own. Excellent ending too, tells a tale whilst leaving the reader wanting more.

    Good write.
