A Mother's Prayer

Picture the boy, happy in his right.
quite the loner, but always happy.
thinking that the day is never long enough.
He has time now, with nothing to do.
innocence lost to a system of accusations.

With a mind not yet matured
he is sentenced to nothing but time.

So Lord, as you pass out your blessings,
peace of mind, and heart.... Please from a
mother praying for her son, give mine to him
and spare little time for me.
