Within a Heartbeat

The sun has barely risen
when I visualize your face,
I keep you within a heartbeat
all throughout my day,
A little here, a little there,
my thoughts comes back to you,
The warmth you bring means everything,
that everything is you,
My shoulder's always open
should you need a place to mend,
The troubles that you share are mine,
forever I'm your friend,
Life's paths cross for a purpose,
and only heaven knows,
the reason's why two souls are drawn
to join the other's own.

    you certainly made me daydream I was this person, altleast for a moment just by reading it.

    Wow! Thank you very much for writing this poem. It means a lot to me because this is the way that I feel about my ex, and I still love him so much; even though I need to GET OVER HIM! I have tried to write how I felt in a poem, but I always seem to fail.
    Sorry for ranting a little...But anyways, your an amazing writer and I wish you luck on your future work!
