Diamonds were sent from the sky,
Each one in formation holding the spectrum
like fire stolen from the gods
as they fled to Earth to be reborn in its crevices.
Clouds fell in a scene of tragedy
And painted the world in watercolor
after gray skies failed to maintain composure
and crash-landed to drown in their sorrows.
I stood alone in solace
Knowing that the sky is always falling
but the cycles cleanse the pallet
and allow the world to grow.

And painted the world in watercolor
