It freezes time
And steals you away,
Chokes you with snow,
Bites you with frost.
Piles of snow
With an icy coating,
Allowing you to slip
And fall on your stomach,
Leaving you sad and weary.
The quick nip to your nose
Reminds you that summer's gone,
Spring's coming,
And beautiful leaves are now
Dead.
The cold, icy fear runs through you,
Driving on a snowy road,
Or strolling atop a steep bank.
Please tell me how you felt when you read it.

excellent
I can't stand the winter but I've been exposed to it for so long how can I attempt to move away from it? Quite a truthful poem here. I especially like the part where you say it reminds you that summer's gone and spring's coming. That's a beautiful way of looking at it. I've never thought about it that way. Thanks for the info. Thanks for sharing such a nice poem. Well done. :0 Brian
