Quintessential and innocent
I look upon you with love
As graceful as an angel
Floating on clouds above
A magic in your eyes
That adults forget to see
Whispering of fairytales
And the princess you want to be
An unbelievable twinkle
As you lay in a sleepy state
Moonlight glistens your face
As your dreams you await
Wrapped up in my arms
Stroking your pretty blonde hair
Thanking my lucky stars you're mine
As I watch you smile without a care
Laying you down gently
Tucking you snuggly into bed
Wanting this moment to last
I plant a soft kiss upon your head
Closing the door as I leave
Whats to come is no surprise
A voice that warms my heart
"Mummy, love you up to the skies"
A routine so simple
But one i'd never miss
Such a wonderful feeling
This mother, daughter bliss
