Christmas for a child from day one,
is bright sparkling lights and laughter and fun,
The one year christmas is one of toys and love,
not old enough yet but can't get enough.
Now he is two and trying to talk,
told of the Virgin Mary as they took a walk .
Visions he saw and the caroling displayed,
are memories in a childs head forever and a day.
Now he is five and within the church he sings,
of love and the blessings when one so believes.
He learns of baby Jesus and the virgin Mary displayed,
and from a childs mouth he asked that day.
Jesus was a baby just as I was,
and there were people around him just as me with so much love .
So does this make my mama a virgin and did the animals gather near,
and on that day silence broke out in the church when grandma told him yes my dear.
Oh the hush was so thick you could hear a pin drop,
and the preacher started to say "no son" but Grandma made him stop.
We are born from his blood are we not?
And a mother is the giver of life even today we havent forgot.
So who is to say otherwise to a boy of his blood,
and the church settled down for that was more than enough.
Author notes
