I try to move forward
try to gain true knowledge
so i can help my people
but demons surround me
trynna clog my every thought
dear lord, i need a place to rest my head
recollect my thoughts
at times i wished that i was dead
ceased to exist
i need your help to take this world on
cuz i can't do it on my own
i need some more soldiers
to teach truth, and roll on,
with me, in this life
we can't change the whole world
but it can be better, right?
and as i write these lyrics
they flow through my head like venom
it only strike those who deserve it
right at the very soul.

I agree, it does sound like a song when you read it. Maybe more of a rap, but hey, that's good too! I can feel some intense something running through this poem.
