Nebulous Concurrencies

Fluffy purple existence melting like the drops of water
Of a melting pane of wax glass
Rippling through a purple tainted ocean
With electrical bolts of lilac commemoration.
Through the luminescent folds of space,
Unfurling in the wrath of an ancient darkness,
Glitters a break between
The realm of this world and another.
A rip of vivid fuchsia effervescence
Slowly elongating its fragile arms
Across the length of the eminent abyss.
Awaking from an eternal slumber
And stretching high to bid the morning adieu,
To bid farewell to the dawn of a nevermore returning day.
A cosmic gale, an alteration of the thread of verve,
The separation of life and death.
Its boundaries are smeared vicariously, like the lines of a pen
Drawn too quickly in an urgent hand.
Moonlight has no existence here, for the light
– pure eclectic energy –
Rippling gracefully and thoroughly from each and every crevice,
Is enough to fulfill the lands of the earth
For the lifespan of the human being.
A purple dream, living only in our minds
Calls to us when we close our eyes
A shimmer of faint hope, a remembrance of the past which we fail to recall
The light of a thousand lights, the dreams of a thousand dreams
Calling to us, culling through the utter solace of time and space
It christens us through its presence,
Beckons to us with shimmering purple fingers curling in the darkness.
An ink blot, a mistake on the palette of the artist.
The backspace key.
Yet the light of creation shines through evidently -
This rip, this ethereal visceral mass
Of the organs of the world.
A bleeding wound, the mauve innards
Leaking onto the clean fresh emptiness
That is the bleakness of our minds,
Forever empty, forever incapable.
The blood of the universe is a sticky substance, staining everything it touches -
Like the scent of cotton candy and fireflies as twilight falls upon us so diligently.
In the wait, in the expectancy,
It longs to be called.
To be wanted.
To reach though the darkness and find its master.
To love, to breathe,
To be an exhale of the life that resides within Mother Universe
A great giant wisp of warmth in the utter cold of space –
The visible personification of the metaphor
for existence.

Author notes

Inspired by this lovely picture

For this poem, I tried something different. I just closed my eyes, and thought of the picture, and started to free write. It kind of worked, but tell me what you think...
