She has a smile that every man would share
With just a hint that he had best beware
So many men decided they would dare
To take a trip no matter what the fare
Her eyes enticed them in from everywhere
Although too few knew what they should prepare
She trapped the poor unwary in her lair
And took the most from them that they could bear
I too considered her a prize so rare
But thought perhaps I'd need a little flair
I went about the task with lots of care
Until she begged that we become a pair
And now the jealous fools can only stare
For I'm the man who won the heart of Clare
With just a hint that he had best beware
So many men decided they would dare
To take a trip no matter what the fare
Her eyes enticed them in from everywhere
Although too few knew what they should prepare
She trapped the poor unwary in her lair
And took the most from them that they could bear
I too considered her a prize so rare
But thought perhaps I'd need a little flair
I went about the task with lots of care
Until she begged that we become a pair
And now the jealous fools can only stare
For I'm the man who won the heart of Clare

I like this poem and how you were able to rhyme every end line so well.
Thank you very much for your entry.

Playing hard to get with flare
was more than she could bear.
The usual masterful use of rhymes

Thank you for your entry
A perfect sonnet and I like that you were able to monorhyme it. Most unfortunately you did not meet the prompt of Water so I cannot consider it for the finalist list. Perhaps I was not as clear as I should have been. I do enjoy your entries so.
God Bless

Delightful! You did so very well at having all the ends rhyme without making it sound at all forced. I love the feel this has. Splendid work.
