There are Highways and Bi-ways I have tried
Without hesitation I have been there
some say I am foolish and some say brave
But the elusive satisfaction i still crave
So until then I will put out my thumb and hitch
to another turnoff I travel
What lies beyond that hill..I can never be sure
Yet its mystery and beauty is my drawer
Open up my eyes to new and lesser things
where complication and regret have only wings
Decisions made and left undone
another tomorrow has just begun
And I am on the freeway of life
But there are times when a toll is required
This may mean temporary hardship
But I survive another turnstile of no turning back
Soon I turn down another strange and dusty track
As the campfire of today burns
I wonder what tomorrow will bring
and so beneath the stars of new promise I sleep
and tomorrow new friends or lost ones again I meet
Seems these Highways are never-ending
and the Bi-ways are my spiritual mending
