Northern gales brisk, cold
bathing purity o'er two souls
Snowflakes falling soft, white
brightening life's darkest night
Fireside chats smiles, frowns
tiny crystals keep falling down
Holding-hands in love, pain
tears couldn't be contained
Wintry mystics danced, pranced
blistering kisses spun its trance
Exchanging gifts passion, untamed
knowing desires are the same
Melodies beating hearts, time
icy chills bond us in rhyme
Reading posey's of love, blue
I found all I'll need is you

Wow...it was so vivid and put me there in everything...awesome write!

There is magic and the strength of a history unspoken but felt in these mazy couplets. They dance with their own magic. Nicely done.

Sounds like a good book to me!
I liked the way you did this one, Dove, written all in couplets but still with a break in each couplet itself. It is that pause, I think, that makes one think, and perhaps remember as well...
The pictures of winter and love you illuminate us with here are outstanding, leaving us feeling as if we were actually there.
I'll have to buy your book, seems like something I need to get "wrapped-up" in at anytime, not just a wintry day.
All my love, Brazos

so sweet
I liked this very much Novy. Love the structure, specially the pause on every first line. The rhyme is excellent and the story sweet. Makes the reader travel. Awesome as usual, my friend!

Beautiful images. Reading posey's of love is so sweet. It's something nostalgic for many I believe. Love and time spent together on a snowy day.
