On the Edge

As i stand on the cliff edge
I stare down at my destination
I am ready to jump
Ready to be freed from humanity

I dare not look back
Afraid of a change of choice
But as I stand there
I let my mind wander
Memories flood my every thought

I realize that I've lived my life
And i;m ready to fly
There is nothing left for me to do but die

I am ready to jump
I am ready to soar
Over the edge
Down to the core

I step forward inch by inch
And i watch some pebbles plummet
Down to the ground

A slight wind ruffles my hair
And i come back to reality
I balance myself on the edge
And i take a slow, steady breaths
I spread out my arms
And i look towards the sky

Then i jump with as much force as possible
To the bright blue sky
And then, i'm flying

I keep my eyes closed as I'm free falling
I pretend to be a baby bird
Who just learned to soar with the wind

I feel fine
I feel as if my soul is cleansed
From all evil and sins
A smile comes to my face as
i await my demise
And i whisper my goodbyes
And then, it's over
But I'll wait for you on the brighter side of death
Good Bye

i don't like writing poems that rhyme all the time.

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

    Ah hell no.

You'd better be speaking figuritively here.

It's very very very good, but always refer back to the intial threat, Twin.
