Fantastic ...
... form and word choice. Simply tremendous. Thank you for giving us something to 'shoot for' (smile). Warm regads, Sultan.

Cool...
Less is more...
So much expressed in so few words with depth, clarity & a sweet lil rhyme to boot...
Keep up the good work...
Well done!!!

I like your " Why My War" poem because what isen't to like about it.
-
Superb Plus
Short and to the point! Why should we die, just because of the actions of so many ego-maniacs on this planet? Very well written, indeed. Thanks for sharing. -
Great
Blame it all on the cat. This is a great write, I like humor but never write much of it. Most soldiers don't want to be in a war, not even our little internal wars such as
health reform, we elect people t take care of running the world so why not let them fight the wars they seem to want.

-
Terse & tightly woven, powerful
such a brief write, containing so much meaning. skillful! "on ideas that are not mine, but who is forced to fight -- it's me." all those drafted into causes not their own to main kill hurt on behalf of leaders who sit cozy in their lairs directing people to their deaths...

-
I don't know....A write to make you think.

Made me think
For a short poem it packs a large dilemma. A moral argument of whether to fight or not, is it a choice. lol I like to be challenged although some say I am already
and you did that here. and with a minimalist approach. well done enjoyed this immensely.

this is very cute, I'm not sure which side you're on, that 's the only thing, you're a 'peace freak' who has to fight for his opinions in this war-mongering time, I think that could be made clearer but it's nice in this short piece.
-
Brief but amazingly true !! love the ones that strike you like that ...nice job
-
i love poetry that makes me nod in agreement. so much spoken with so few wors. great rhyme and a sense of knowing. [IAI]

Very true. Brief but very powerful.

Acceptance
Being able to accept oneself first, then the apparent difference in the diversity of others is a key to knowing peace. And knowing that It's You all along in all that diversity.... ah, there's Peace that passeth understanding.
Much depth in a few well written words.

Beautiful! Succinct!

-
Uh Oh!
and this says alot about who we are ... and yet we do have the right to 'disagree peacefully' ! "Don't argue with a fool for bystanders might not know who the fool is" ... Your poem is short and has a point! j y

Wow!
You have expressed this so well, Ellis and in so few words Impressive!Good job!

-
I totally get where you're coming from. You have described feelings of war in such a simple but meaningful way!

Yes, I agree with you. With only a few words is captured the essence of all who must go to fight for other ideas. Great write.
