Today I found a broken soul
it was lying on a grave
hidden by weeds and dead leaves
so I picked it up.
Somebody had carved words on it
' One careful owner '
But they were hard to see
they were stained by truth.
I tried to pawn it
but the guy in the shop laughed
got thousands he said
nobody wants them any more.
I asked him why
they come with accessories he said.
Little add-ons that make it work.
Such as what ? my curiosity asked.
Honesty, belief, loyalty, forgiveness.
They come in a packet
you get them for free,
would you like some ?
I took the soul back to the grave
and buried it.
I placed mine next to it.
I had a smile on my face.
No conscience, just a smile.

I love how you percieved the title prompt, taking a broken soul like a broken trinket you would find at your grandmother's house
very nice work
good job and good luck
