My soul,
it goes asunder.
I sit at the shore,
watching storm and thunder.
Thrashing waves blackened clouds,
they fuel me as I ponder.
Ponder on that which is nevermore,
gone is joy and gone is wonder.
Tropical sights give me no solace,
coral nor palms and sand.
Devoid of emotion and rest,
I turn and go towards the land.
The sea,
she gave no absolution.
Empty am I,
after the dissolution.
