Momma said
don't get anything on your new angel shirt
so I asked Grandpa
and he let me go out and play in the dirt
I asked Momma for some candy
and she said
absolutely no
so I asked Grandpa for a lollipop
and off to the store we go
I asked Momma for a new toy
and she said
no, Baby, not this week
so I asked Grandpa for a new doll
he bought the one that cries and takes a leak
Momma said
it's bedtime, but I wasn't ready to fall asleep
so I asked Grandpa
and he said let's all take a ride in the jeep
I don't remember what happened next
because that's where I fell sound asleep
I think Grandpa tricked me
but I loved fallin' asleep in his jeep
