Behind closed eyes your image rages
Like a wildfire through my mind
Twisting my thoughts into cindered, black fantasies
Of your soft skin, your smell, your eyes
This fire burns and smolders within me
Casting frightening shadows behind my closed lids
Trapped in such terror, unable to escape
And still, it would be more painful for me to leave
For though I would escape these hellish flames
Your face would disappear like a mirage
My dreams are drenched in thoughts of you
My mind is branded with this hopeless, all-encompassing love
I watch a smile blossom on you face and wilt just as fast
And I know that I'm awake.

That loving feeling
Well done, I enjoyed this write very much. The beauty and pain in love. So simple, so consuming. Good Luck..
