Silence, wrapping me so secure,
as the smell of your presence stay.
The footprint of our love’s contours,
supports the sentiment each day.
As the smell of your presence stay,
lingering in my mind and soul…
It chases all my fears away.
It’s only you that makes me whole!
The footprint of our love’s contours,
is like it stays there on the moon.
My heart is true and only yours,
Together our life stays in tune.
Like footprints left there on the moon,
you are inside my heart to stay.
The moon is our hot-air-balloon,
knowing you’ll never go away.

No, nothing much changes on the moon but they do down here on earth, and I guess that was your author notes' point.
But we all need that person we can feel secure with, at home with...who we can trust, and they can trust us. And we can't really shut ourselves away when we get hurt because there is that need to find that person. Or so it was with me until I found mine,

Very nice in a rhyming form, the rhyme here is well done, it adds to the rhythm of the piece as I read aloud, the form itself is excellent the refrains repeat easily as if thoughts to extend other thoughts. Soft and beautiful poetry here. Thank you for this fine entry into the contest and best of luck in the judging...PK
