That Holiday Feeling

A wondrous stillness in the air,
Tantalizing scents everywhere,
Of chocolate, cherries, peppermint;
Scenes of elaborate embellishment,
Gold, lace, silver, velvet, pearl,
Textures decorate our world,
In darkest cerulean nights
Lit by a million twinkling lights.

    This is beautiful; I love your lists. This has texture, like you speak of in it. My only qualm is the title, which doesn't indicate how intricate this poem is.
