A wondrous stillness in the air,
Tantalizing scents everywhere,
Of chocolate, cherries, peppermint;
Scenes of elaborate embellishment,
Gold, lace, silver, velvet, pearl,
Textures decorate our world,
In darkest cerulean nights
Lit by a million twinkling lights.

This is beautiful; I love your lists. This has texture, like you speak of in it. My only qualm is the title, which doesn't indicate how intricate this poem is.

Wondeful write, capturing all the beauty and memories of Christmas... your words twinkle just like those lights...
