The strings lie there, waiting for fingers
to take them up and spill out patterns
of glorious golds, blues, and roses.
An emerald history; an azure future string
each plucked gently by a creator
in heaven's sewing room.
Where bolt upon bolt of thread, stored up for stories
that are yet to be told
are waiting in the corners
not far from where God sits
and laughs while He weaves
because what He has made is good.
Author notes
I love the image of God sitting in some vast room, smiling as he weaves thread upon thousand threads, creating something massively beautiful. In something so big, is it any surprise that we often times we don't really feel or even see the goodness of it all?
If you haven't read Ravi Zacharias' book The Grand Weaver, I would highly recommend it.
