I ripped my own heart out
Didn't need to wait for you to do it
Because I knew it would happen
Sooner or later, it always does
We got too comfortable
Too happy in love to not take it for granted
Crisis to crisis is my way of life
A way of life you don't fit in
Because you made me too happy
I ripped my own heart out

This makes a lot of sense in a sad sort of way. I think, we all do this at some time or other. After all, we can rip our own hearts out more gently than anyone since the instruments and tools (the reasons and fronts) are all of our choosing that way.
Great write, short and meaningful.
