Falling in love,
Is just like flying.
You never know, what’ll ensue.
Until you spread your wings.
And once you look up,
In the deep blue sky.
You’ll know what to do
As your heart begins to sing.
I’m learning to fly,
But I don’t have wings.
And it’s your love,
That’ll give them to me.
Don’t let love, pass you by.
For this might be the thing,
That sends you above
That’ll set your soul free.
You’ll find that coming down,
Will be that hardest thing.
When love, is all you see.
As you’re soaring in the blue.
There’ll be no need to frown.
For our love will be in full swing,
As it becomes, you and me,
Enjoying a love, innocently true.
We’ve begun to soar,
As the wind beneath
Each others wings
Keeps us floating, way up high.
Our hearts will explore,
Soft skin, inside the sheets
Learning about loving things,
As the world passes by.
We’re learning to fly,
In each others arms,
As we carefully unite,
And make our lips one.
Let’s give love a try,
And set off the alarm.
Let’s join the fight,
And have some fun.
But I’m glad we’re here,
Learning to fly.
To enjoy what’s above,
And hear our hearts sing.
There’s nothing to fear,
As time passes by,
For it’s our love,
That’ll grant us wings.
Please tell me what you think

Another very good poem and I shall pray for your happiness. Are you saved by Jesus' love by the way or are you damned for sin? Best wishes from MPG.

Oh honey, how I've missed reading your passionate words! Dom, you've done it again.
I'm so glad to be back on AP. I finally have internet at home and am hoping to be on here more frequently. This is a beautifully written piece. I felt like I was flying along with you.
