Summer On The Docks

The water smelt of salt
As the docks rocked peacefully
Countless galaxies of twinkling stars
Watchfully took care of two lovers
Summer love was budding
That one night, so long ago

A night too sweet to be a dream
Too real to be a fantasy
Too amazing to be real
The night that I met you

Very sweet! This poem is really cute. I liked "as the docks rocked peacefully, countless galaxies of twinkling stars" i beleive that was my favorite part. This poem was quite cute and sweet, and I don't know what other word you would use, but for some reason the word "smelt" kind of distracted me. Perhaps "smelled" would be better? Overall, a very cute write. Good job, and good luck in the contest!
